Privacy policy
How Solana Health collects, uses, stores and shares your personal and health information.
Solana Health is operated by ANJM Pty Ltd (ABN to be inserted), trading as Solana Health, at Shop 1, 448 Bunnerong Road, Matraville NSW 2036. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).
What we collect
To provide care we collect your name, contact details, date of birth, Medicare and private health fund details where relevant, emergency contact, and health information including your history, presenting complaint, examination findings, treatment records, reports and correspondence from other providers.
How we use it
We use your information to assess and treat you, to communicate with you about appointments and your care, to process payments and health fund or Medicare claims, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
With your consent, or where the law requires or permits, we may share information with your GP or other treating practitioners, health funds, Medicare, workers compensation or CTP insurers, and our practice management software provider (Cliniko), which stores data in Australia.
Storage and security
Records are held electronically in Cliniko with access restricted to authorised staff. Records are kept for at least seven years after your last visit, or until age 25 for children, as required in NSW.
Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct your records at any time by emailing hello@solanahealth.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
Website
Our website does not use tracking cookies for advertising. Online bookings are handled by Cliniko under its own privacy policy. We may use anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first at hello@solanahealth.com.au. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the NSW Privacy Commissioner.
